As this school year comes to a close, we (your NHS presidency) hope that you are completing the chapter requirements. In order to help you accomplish those requirements, we are doing our best to provide you with as many volunteer opportunities as possible within the next two months.

If you are currently receiving text notifications, but wish to no longer receive these texts, you may notify Jefferson to remove your number from our contact list.
You may check the NHS Window near the library to view our current record of your hour completion. If there are any errors, or if you have any questions, please contact us. We will be sending another requirement completion report soon. You may download our service hour record here:

If you are still interested in this project, you will have to visit the museum personally to notify them when you are willing to help. Do this as soon as possible, please. The volunteer times are as follows:

If we receive an attendance record from the museum, we will track hours using that record; however, we ask that you continue tracking museum hours as you would individual hours, for certainty.

Provo Cemetery Google Maps |

3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
We will be doing yard work for the Provo Cemetery. We will meet at the northeastern corner of the cemetery; park at the northern end. There is limited parking space, so carpool if you can. Maps will be available in Mr. Frossard's room (C14) on the day of the project. All materials for this project will be provided. We will be offering refreshments at all Provo volunteer projects to compensate for travel times.

This is a continuation of the project started on March 31. We will be cleaning the biology courtyard, removing trimmed branches, raking and sweeping leaves, and removing cattails from the pools. We will meet in Mr. Wadley's room during collaboration.

We will help in sorting canned food items at the Provo Food Bank. We will meet in the parking lot of the LDS Church to the west of the warehouse. Maps will be available in Mr. Frossard's room (C14) on the day of the project. We will be offering refreshments at all Provo volunteer projects to compensate for travel times.

Seniors who are members of the National Honor Society are invited to apply for the SHS NHS Scholarship. Applications may be found in the Counseling Office and are due on April 23rd by 3:00 pm to Mr. Bird.

Although this ceremony will honor new inductees entering into the National Honor Society, all current members are invited. The recipient of the Patricia J. Kauffman NHS Scholarship will also be recognized at this event.

The Chapter Requirements are deadline by 3:00 pm on this day. This includes $5.00 dues, 4 Chapter Hours, and 2 Individual Hours. Please make sure our records are correct before this date, and submit all Individual Hours to Mr. Frossard's room (C14).
